2013 Registration

Dojos are opening their doors soon for the new year, and we’re happy to announce that the registration forms will be available from day one at all dojos. Your club instructor will distribute the 2013 “Registration Pack”, which includes a message from the Chief Instructor Sensei Aneel Dowlath, important information regarding points systems, and the affiliation form. It’s important that you fill out this form and return it to your club instructor by the dates specified in the Registration Pack. Doing so ensures that administration runs smoothly, and you can then focus on what matters – the karate!

You can also obtain the Registration Pack from this website. The file is in PDF and will be made available by tomorrow morning (the link will be on the sidebar to the right, and there will be a post with instructions).

Look out for the above information on this website. Bookmark us, and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/SKKSA).

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to SKKSA in 2013. We trust that you’ve had a restful summer holiday, and are energised for all that 2013 has in store. This promises to be another exciting year for us, and we can’t wait to share our 2013 calendar with you.

Karate lessons resume soon. We encourage you to visit this website regularly to get the latest news and calendar events. We also hope to keep the website and its associated online presences (Twitter and Facebook) active as often as possible.

The first thing to look out for will be the 2013 welcome and registration pack. It will be made available for download in PDF format. You will also be able to receive a hardcopy from your club instructor when training resumes in your dojo. Our online calendar will be filled with the latest tournaments and training courses, and don’t forget to check out the photo gallery for photos from recent training courses (new pictures will be uploaded soon).

Wishing you all the best for 2013!

Get Ready for the Most Exciting Karate Tournament of 2012!

We’re less than 24 hours away from the SKKSA Tournament 2012. This year’s tournament promises to be the best yet, and SKKSA’s definitive style of hosting KZN’s most exciting karate tournament is certainly evident.

The competition will take place at the UKZN Old Mutual Sports Centre tomorrow, 8 September 2012. The opening ceremony begins at 8am.

Logo

The essence of this year’s tournament is captured in the official emblem for 2012 (shown alongside). Energy, dynamism and passion are expressed in the colourful logo, which will, for the first time in our tournament-hosting history, be extended to Arena-wide branding.

Format

This year, we return to the innovative style of hosting: with information accessibility being key to efficiently running our tournaments, SKKSA will have two dual-digital screens placed prominently within the main Arena. Competitor , arena and general information will be updated live as the event progresses on these screens, including live footage from the six Tatami floors.
