COVID-19 Update on SKKSA Dojos

On Saturday President Ramaphosa announced the country’s move towards Level 2 lockdown.

This is no doubt a positive step towards rebuilding our economy, and towards increasing the morale and hope amongst us all.

With level 2, it has been noted that gyms may reopen. However, the president’s message also carried a cautionary warning regarding complacency.

And so, as we continue to navigate the changing tides posed by this pandemic, our priorities remain the same.

The safety of our students and our instructors is our top priority.
Over the past few months, we have been presenting our karate lessons online, via Zoom.

We have taken a decision to continue that mode of teaching for the next 30 days, at which time we will reassess our position in terms of safety.

We believe this is necessary to protect our SKKSA community, and we urge you all to take full advantage of the lessons that are brought into your home 3 times a week, at no charge.

Exercise is known to have a profound impact on the normal functioning of the immune system. And so we encourage you all to join us at our zoom sessions, within our virtual dojo. You can access our free Zoom classes via the new MyDojo website. If you haven’t yet, please sign up at

We  wish you and your family safety and good health in the weeks ahead.
